Installing CICS Explorer: Eclipse p2 update site

You can install CICS Explorer® into an existing Eclipse product by using an Eclipse p2 update site. When you install CICS Explorer in this way, you must also use the Eclipse p2 update method to install updates or additional features.

Procedure

  1. On the Download Eclipse Tools web page, navigate to the Using Eclipse p2 section and Option 1- I already have Eclipse.
  2. Start your existing Eclipse product.
  3. Click Help > Install New Software > Add.
  4. In the Add New Repository dialog, add the URL for the update site, then click OK. This URL is available on the product download site Download Eclipse Tools web page in the section Using Eclipse p2 > Option 1- I already have Eclipse.
  5. Select IBM CICS Explorer and IBM Explorer for z/OS in the list of available software.
  6. Optional: If you want to install the CICS SDK for web and JSP, expand IBM CICS Explorer and ensure that IBM CICS SDK for Servlet and JSP support is selected.
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Results

CICS Explorer is now installed and you can start it from Eclipse.
