TASK Resource Table

This CICS® resource describes a task in an active CICS system that is being managed by CICSPlex® SM.

The Primary key field for this resource class is TASK.

When used in an evaluation definition (EVALDEF), you might want to limit the evaluation to include only those tasks for which a specific transaction is associated. To do so, include the TRANID attribute in the evaluation filter expression; for example, TRANID=TRN1.

The following actions are supported:
PURGE
Purge a task.
The parameter data for the PURGE action is:
   PARM('PURGETYPE(cvda).')
where cvda is required and is a valid CVDA value for the type of operation.
Valid CVDA values for the PURGE action are PURGE, FORCEPURGE, and KILL. For example:
PARM('PURGETYPE(FORCEPURGE).')

FORCEPURGE
Force purge a task.

There are no parameters for the FORCEPURGE action.

KILL
Kill a task.
There are no parameters for the KILL action.
Note: The KILL action can lead to unpredictable results and should be used only in exceptional circumstances.
