XAPPC
The XAPPC system initialization parameter specifies whether RACF® session security can be used when establishing APPC sessions.
- XAPPC={NO|YES}
- Valid values are as follows:
- NO
- RACF session security cannot be used.
- YES
- RACF session security can be used.
If you specify BINDSECURITY=YES for a specific APPC connection, a request to RACF is issued to extract the security profile. If the profile exists, it is used to bind the session.
Note: If you specify XAPPC=YES, the external security manager that you use must support the APPCLU general resource class, otherwise CICS® fails to initialize.
Restriction: You can specify the XAPPC parameter in the SIT, PARM, or SYSIN only.
