QUIESTIM
The QUIESTIM system initialization parameter specifies a timeout value for data set quiesce requests.
- QUIESTIM={240|number}
- In a busy CICSplex, it is possible for the default timeout
to expire before the quiesce request has been processed by all the CICS regions,
even though there is nothing wrong. If the quiesce operation is not completed
when the timeout period expires, SMS VSAM cancels the quiesce. If you find
that timeout is occurring too frequently, increase the timeout value.
Specify the timeout value as a number of seconds. The default value is 240 seconds (4 minutes)
The maximum timeout value you can specify is 3600 (1 hour).
