If you have the compiler installed on AIX® 6.1, you might want to migrate the operating system to AIX 7.1.
The compiler filesets are not OS specific and do not require migration if XL C/C++ V13.1 is installed on AIX 6.1 and the operating system is migrated to AIX 7.1. If an OS specific fileset is required in the future for a higher level of AIX, it will be identified in a Tech Note tied to the PTF that adds support for that version of AIX.
