Installing IBM Business Process Manager on a single machine

You can install IBM® Business Process Manager with Process Center, Process Designer, Integration Designer, Business Monitor, and a Process Server test environment on a single machine. You can install the advanced edition of IBM BPM on a single machine to evaluate the product or to work offline.

Before you begin

Verify the system requirements:

Use this task to create your IBM BPM environment on a single machine, including the following requirements:

Installing IBM Business Process Manager
- Installing Process Designer
Installing Business Monitor
Installing Integration Designer
Specifying the Process Server test environment

Procedure

Install IBM Business Process Manager. Use the following information to complete this step: Installing and configuring IBM Business Process Manager. Choose the Process Center path in the typical installation process.
Remember: Installing IBM Business Process Manager also installs Process Designer.
Use the Profile Management Tool to create a Process Server profile. Use the following information to complete this step:
Install Business Monitor. Use the following information to complete this step: Installing the IBM Business Monitor software
Install Integration Designer.

2. Use the launchpad to perform the installation with the following information: Installing from the product launchpad Choose the last option: Install Integration Designer only.
Specify the Process Server test environment. Use the following information to configure the Process Server test environment: Creating test environment servers

Results

You have completed the installation of IBM BPM on your machine, including all of the following requirements:

Installed all required binary files
Silently installed Process Designer
Installed Business Monitor
Installed Integration Designer
Specified the Process Server test environment

What to do next

You are ready to use IBM BPM on your machine:

Start Process Center.
Start Process Designer or IBM Integration Designer.
Tip: Close Process Designer or Integration Designer if you are not using them for an extended period of time.
Start your Process Server unit test environment, as needed.
