Upgrading SQL Server databases

Follow the instructions to migrate SQL Server databases.
  1. Upgrading the MONITOR database schema
    To upgrade the MONITOR database schema, use the Data Definition Language (DDL) files that are provided by IBM Business Monitor V8.5.7
  2. Creating the IBM Cognos BI database for the content store
    If you migrated from a release of IBM Business Monitor that did not include the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence content store database, you must create the database that IBM Cognos BI uses for the content store. Otherwise, you can skip this step. IBM Cognos BI updates its content store database automatically when it first starts.
  3. Migrating the MONITOR database data
    For migrating from WebSphere® Business Monitor (pre-IBM Business Monitor), you must migrate the data in the MONITOR database before you start the server.
