Working with IBM BPM documents

In IBM Business Process Manager, you can use Enterprise Content Management (ECM) tools to work with IBM BPM documents in the embedded IBM BPM document store. For example, you can create, edit, and work with documents in the document store using either a Coach or a Heritage Coach. There are, however, special considerations for some of the CMIS operations that can be performed.

  • The IBM BPM document store
    The IBM® BPM document store store is a CMIS-enabled embedded document repository that is used to store IBM BPM documents in IBM Business Process Manager version 8.5.0.0 or later. It supplants the document attachment feature that was used in earlier releases. The IBM BPM document store supports most Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) operations and a number of inbound events and you can use either Coaches or Heritage Coaches to work with IBM BPM documents in the document store.

The Document List will build a CMIS query that is based on the specified IBM BPM document display options and then pass it to the service for execution.
