Installing IBM Business Process Manager V8.5.5

Before you begin migration, use custom installation to install IBM® Business Process Manager V8.5.5 on a different computer, or in a different directory on the same computer as your previous version.

About this task

You must use custom installation to install IBM Business Process Manager before you migrate your business data and applications.

Procedure

To prepare your computer for installation, follow the instructions for your product configuration.
- Preparing to install and configure the software
- Preparing to install and configure IBM BPM Advanced
To install, follow the instructions for your product configuration and operating system.
To install IBM Business Process Manager Standard:
To install IBM Business Process Manager Advanced:
Case management:
- If you are migrating to IBM BPM Advanced and have a license for the Basic Case Management feature, select it on the Features page of Installation Manager and install it with the product. If you do not select Basic Case Management during installation, you can install it later following the instructions in Adding the Basic Case Management feature to IBM Business Process Manager.
- When you configure your deployment environment in a later step, you must create either the Advanced or Standard deployment environment. Case management is not supported in the AdvancedOnly deployment environment.
