Scripts provided with IBM MQ classes for JMS

A number of scripts are provided to assist with common tasks that need to be performed when using IBM® MQ classes for JMS.

Table 1 lists all the scripts and their uses. The scripts are in the bin subdirectory of the IBM MQ classes for JMS installation directory.

Cleanup 1 This script is maintained for compatibility with previous releases but performs no function. Manual cleanup of subscription information is no longer necessary
DefaultConfiguration Runs the default configuration application on platforms other than Windows.
formatLog 1 This script is maintained for compatibility with previous releases but performs no function. Log output is now produced in readable text.
IVTRun 1
IVTSetup 1
IVTTidy 1
Used in the point-to-point installation verification test, as described in The point-to-point installation verification test for IBM MQ classes for JMS.
JMSAdmin 1 Runs the IBM MQ JMS administration tool, as described in Starting the administration tool.
JMSAdmin.config The configuration file for the IBM MQ JMS administration tool, as described in Configuring the JMS administration tool.
PSIVTRun 1 Runs the publish/subscribe installation verification test program, as described in The publish/subscribe installation verification test for IBM MQ classes for JMS.
PSReportDump.class This class is maintained for compatibility with previous releases, but performs no function.
setjmsenv Sets the environment variables for running an IBM MQ classes for JMS application in a 32-bit Java virtual machine (JVM) on UNIX and Linux® systems, as described in Environment variables used by IBM MQ classes for JMS.
setjmsenv64 Sets the environment variables for running an IBM MQ classes for JMS application in a 64-bit JVM on UNIX and Linux systems, as described in Environment variables used by IBM MQ classes for JMS.
Note:
  1. On Windows, the file name has the extension .bat .
