Configuration parameters

The administrator can set parameters to configure the IBM® Content Navigator at a general application level, at a repository level for FileNet® P8 (FileNet P8) or Content Manager (CM), or for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office (NMO).

To select the parameters, go to the IBM Content Navigator console and select Administrator > Settings > General > Additional settings. Click New, which displays the New custom Property dialog. Name lists the parameters that you can select.

In the Name field,
  • If you enter 'app', a list of all the application parameters are listed.
  • If you enter 'cm', a list of all the Content Manager repository parameters are listed.
  • If you enter 'p8', a list of all the FileNet P8 repository parameters are listed.
  • If you enter 'nmo', a list of all the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office parameters are listed.

When you select a parameter, the default value is automatically entered into the Value field. After the parameter is assigned a value, only parameters, without a defined value, are listed the next time that you select the Name list.

You can add a unique, custom parameter and assign a value. The name cannot duplicate any existing parameter name.
