Enabling trust between the Content Platform Engine domain and the IBM Content Navigator domain

If you plan to deploy IBM® Content Navigator and Content Platform Engine or Content Engine in different domains, you must enable trust between the Content Platform Engine or Content Engine domain and the IBM Content Navigator domain.

Procedure

To enable trust between the WebLogic Server domains:

  1. On the Content Platform Engine or Content Engine server, prepare the WebLogic Server Administration Console for editing.
Important: If you have already configured a trust on the Content Platform Engine or Content Engine server, perform these steps only on the IBM Content Navigator server. You must use the same password as the one used on the Content Platform Engine or Content Engine server.
  2. In the advanced security settings for your domain, enter a password for the domain.
  3. Save and activate your changes.
  4. Restart WebLogic Server.
  5. On the IBM Content Navigator server, prepare the WebLogic Server Administration Console for editing.
  6. In the advanced security settings for your domain, enter the password that you used on the Content Platform Engine or Content Engine server.
  7. Repeat this procedure in each domain for which you want to enable trust.
  8. For managed server environments, stop the administration server and all managed servers in both domains. Restart servers.
Important: If you do not restart all of the servers, any servers that are were not rebooted will not trust the servers that were rebooted.
