Restoring space managed file systems

When you restore an entire file system, you can restore to the state as of the last incremental backup. Restoring stubs saves disk space and is faster than restoring the complete version of migrated files.

About this task

When you restore space managed files systems, if you restore many stubs with complete files, the file system can run out of space. If the file system runs out of space, the space management client must migrate files to make room for more restored files. The restore process can be slowed. To reduce disk space and complete the process quickly, choose one of the following tasks.
