Fix pack installation methods

There are several different methods for installing fix packs, depending on the operating system and whether there are existing database products.

On Linux and UNIX operating systems, you can use different methods to install a fix pack:
On Windows operating systems, the same commands are used whether you use the fix pack to update existing DB2 database products or add new DB2 database products. The installation methods differ according to the number of DB2 database products that are involved and whether DB2 is configured to use Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS), as follows:
