Installing Cognos fixes independent of Reporting Services

If you use IBM Cognos independent of Reporting Services, you must ensure that the latest fix packs are applied.

1. Navigate to the location where the Cognos Fix Pack/iFix is extracted. For example: /root/Downloads/cognos10.2.2/TCRCognos/BI_FP/linuxi38664h
2. Run issetup
3. When prompted for Cognos installed location, point to Jazz for Service Management Reporting Services installed location. For example: <JazzSM_Home>/reporting/cognos
4. Ensure the Fix Pack/iFix installs successfully.
5. For UNIX platforms:
   1. After successful installation, navigate to <JazzSM_Home>/reporting/_uninst/TCR313Install
   2. Run chmod u+x tcr_applyFP.sh
   3. Run tcr_applyFP.sh <username> <password>
6. For Windows systems:
   1. After successful installation, navigate to <JazzSM_Home>/reporting/_uninst/TCR313Install
   2. Run tcr_applyFP.bat <username> <password>
   Note:

   • This script is applicable only to Cognos Fix Pack and IFixes. This script does not support Cognos Mod releases.
   • On test environment, ensure to run smart way of installing Cognos fixes prior to production.
