Custom installation scenario

Jazz™ for Service Management supports custom installation scenario, which allows you to choose which Jazz for Service Management integration services to install and on a Jazz for Service Management server. After you perform a custom installation, you can install Tivoli® Common Reporting.

Choose the custom installation scenario under the following conditions:

If you want to use IBM® Installation Manager to interactively install and configure Jazz for Service Management integration services on multiple servers, by using the configuration settings that you provide during the installation.
If you want to install only a subset of the Jazz for Service Management integration services.
For example, you might want to install only reporting services only, thus you must install Tivoli Common Reporting.
If you want your IT team to review the Jazz for Service Management installation and configuration scripts before you install software in your enterprise environment. Use Installation Manager to lay down the installation files for the Jazz for Service Management integration services. The IT team can review the scripts and then you can use Installation Manager to complete the installation.
If you want to enable the application and database server middleware and Jazz for Service Management for the Federal Information Processing Standard.
If you want to silently install the following integration services on a single server: Dashboard Application Services Hub, Reporting Services. .

Note: You can also perform a custom installation on a single server, if you want to use Installation Manager to interactively install and configure Jazz for Service Management integration services by using the configuration settings that you provide during the installation.
