You can perform the custom installation to install and
configure one or more Jazz™ for Service
Management integration
services on a single server. This server might also need a DB2® installation depending on whether
you want to install Registry Services or Reporting Services.
About this task
You can use the custom installation fast path check lists
to verify each step in the custom installation scenario. See
Custom installation, single server topology fast path.
Procedure
- Ensure that you have prepared your environment. If installing Reporting Services,
ensure that you have set up DB2 on
the same target server. See Preparing your environment for a custom installation.
- Install WebSphere® Application Server,
if you do not have an existing installation. See Application server: Installing WebSphere Application Server.
- You must install Jazz for Service
Management extension
for IBM WebSphere into
the WebSphere Application Server installation.
See Middleware: Application server: Installing the security extension for WebSphere.
- Choose to install one or more Jazz for
Service Management integration
services. Table 1 summarizes
the installation tasks to perform for each integration service on
a composite application server.
Tip: Because you might
be installing only one integration service, these tasks summarize
how to install each integration service individually, in different
launchpad or
Installation
Manager GUI
sessions. You can choose to install multiple integration services
in a single launchpad or
Installation
Manager GUI
session. See
Application and database server: Installing multiple integration services.
