What's new in IBM Case Manager, V5.3.3
IBM® Case Manager, V5.3.3 provides new features and other enhancements.
IBM Case Manager is now available as part of IBM Business Automation Workflow
IBM Case Manager is now available as part of IBM Business Automation Workflow. This offering combines case management and process management to unite information, process, and users, thus giving you a 360-degree view of your organization's work. In addition to process management and case management, IBM Business Automation Workflow uses advanced analytics, business rules, and collaboration to drive more successful, optimized business outcomes.
If you do not want to move up to IBM Business Automation Workflow, IBM Case Manager is still available as a stand-alone product for upgrades.
Viewing an IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) process from Case Manager Builder
When you create a case task based an existing process, you can now get to that process in IBM Process Designer. After you create a task from an existing process, you can click the Open Web Process Designer icon to edit the process in Process Designer.
To change an existing process or add a new process, you must open the process from IBM Process Center, update or create the process, create a snapshot, and make that snapshot the default. To view any new processes in Add Task dialog box, click Refresh on the Select Process page.
Access to the IBM Business Process Manager Work Dashboard from Case Manager Client
You can now easily access the IBM Process Portal Work dashboard from Case Manager Client by adding the IBM Business Automation Workflow plug-in to your IBM Content Navigator desktop. You can then view your Work dashboard tasks in a desktop, claim the tasks, and work on them just as you do in Process Portal.
When the IBM Business Automation Workflow plug-in and IBM BPM V8.6.0 CF2018.03 are installed, the action is added to the Action menu and pop-up menu in the Browse view, which you can configure to display in your IBM Case Manager desktop. You can use this action to launch an IBM BPM process from a document. You can also add the Launch Process action to the menu in the Documents view for the Case Information widget.
Business object properties now included in a case package PDF file
The values for a property that is defined as type Business Object are now listed in the case package PDF file along with the other case properties.
Enhanced font formatting options in Properties View Designer
Properties View Designer provides enhanced formatting options that you can use for labels and property values in a view. In addition to selecting the font size, you can now specify the font color.
