Pre-installation tasks

Generally, you install other vendor software that IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody integrates with, such as compilers and add-on software, before installing Rhapsody. With those other products installed, the installation wizard for Rhapsody can locate and link to them during installation.

Note these installation preparation guidelines:

• Review the requirements for your other software tools to determine whether your installation of Rhapsody interacts with the vendor software. Then follow the instructions provided by the vendor to run an installation for the software used in your development environment.
• Install the compiler you plan to use with the product before you install Rhapsody.
