Performing RTC actions with Eclipse platform integration

You can use the IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® Platform Integration with Rational Team Concert™ for development in a collaborative environment.

Rational Team Concert is a collaborative development environment that connects teams so that they can work together to simplify, automate, and govern software delivery in real time. Rational Team Concert supports the work of developers, architects, and project managers with work item, source control, build management, and iteration planning support. The Rational Rhapsody Platform Integration lets software developers work on a Rational Rhapsody project within the Eclipse platform.

You can use the Rational Rhapsody Platform Integration with Rational Team Concert, either by installing Rational Rhapsody Eclipse plug-ins into the Rational Team Concert Eclipse-based client or by installing the plug-ins of both Rational Rhapsody and Rational Team Concert into an Eclipse IDE.

If you plan on using the C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) to compile code generated from Rational Rhapsody, you must install Cygwin, and you also must install the C/C++ Development Tools plug-in into Rational Team Concert. Do these installations in the following order:
  • Install Cygwin before you install Rational Rhapsody.
  • Install C/C++ Development Tools before you install the Rational Rhapsody plug-ins.
Important: To ensure that you see your Rational Rhapsody model in the Model Browser in your integration of Eclipse and Rational Team Concert, use the same name for your Eclipse project and your Rational Rhapsody model. For example, if your Rational Rhapsody model is named CellPhoneDesign1, your Eclipse project must also be named CellPhoneDesign1.
