Installing available updates

You can view and install available updates for intrusion prevention or for the firmware on the Network IPS appliance.

Before you begin

To create a backup of a working version of your settings by using remote installation, see the topic Backing up the Network IPS appliance settings.

Navigating in the Network IPS Local Management Interface: Manage System Settings > Updates and Licensing > Administration

Click the appropriate tab: Firmware or Intrusion Prevention.
Important: Some firmware updates require that you restart your appliance. For more information about product issues and updates, see the appropriate release notes for your appliance model.
If updates are available, click Install Update.
