Logical unit of work for transaction 'transId' has been backed out; Distributed Transaction Service (TRAN) reason 'abendReason'
Explanation
A logical unit of work for transaction 'transId' was backed out by CICS.
This message is produced only when the logical unit of work is backed out
and there is no commit in progress.
The message is not produced when CEMT TASK PURGE or FORCEPURGE is used
on the transaction as in this case message ERZ1663W is produced instead.
It can possibly be caused by the failure of CICS Toolkit components,
such as Structured File Servers or LOG servers,
or by the failure of other Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP) clients,
such as relational database managers, during the logical unit of work.
Note that this message is produced
whenever EXEC CICS SYNCPOINT ROLLBACK is issued as a normal action
by a CICS application program.
System action
CICS continues, but it is likely that further messages follow to terminate the transaction.
User response
Check that all Structured File Servers, log servers and Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP) clients
are still running.
Restart any that have failed.
If the problem is anything other than one of those
categorized as a 'Client-Specified Abort'
and the problem persists, contact your support organization.
