IBM® Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, Version 8.2.1, is composed of AccessAgent 8.2.1.0191, AccessStudio 8.2.1.0005, and IMS Server 8.2.1.0.66. This release offers new features and currency support.

Features

Session Recording

IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, Version 8.2.1, provides the capability to record the use of privileged identity session for auditing, security forensics, and compliance. The IBM Privileged Session Recorder is a virtual surveillance camera that captures user activity during an active session on a workstation.

The IBM Privileged Session Recorder is a IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager 1.0 feature that is distributed with IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On.

This feature includes a Session Recording Agent and a Privileged Session Recorder Server. The agent is packaged and can be installed together with AccessAgent. The server must be installed separately.

Currency support

Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit support

IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On now supports single sign-on to applications on a Windows 8 operating system. However, IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, Version 8.2.1 does not support Windows Store apps.

The following deployment and configurations are supported:
  • Shared and personal desktop configurations. See "Session Management" in IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On Planning and Deployment Guide.
  • Network Provider configuration.
  • RFID and password authentication factors.
  • Single sign-on for Web and Windows applications that uses the bundled AccessProfiles.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 10

All existing AccessProfiles for web applications that are accessed through Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 are supported.

Mozilla Firefox Extended Support Release 17

Single sign-on and automation for web applications that are accessed through Mozilla Firefox Extended Support Release 17 are supported. To enable this support, see "Enabling single sign-on support in Mozilla Firefox Extended Support Release 17" in the IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On Installation Guide.

IBM DB2 version 10.1 support

The IBM DB2 version 10.1 can now be used as the IMS Server database.

WebSphere® Application Server version 8.5 support

The IMS Server can now run on WebSphere Application Server version 8.5.
