Integrating with other products

You can enhance your ability to query and analyze enterprise data by integrating Watson Explorer Content Analytics with other products.

For example:

• You can enable users to create analytical reports from the content analytics miner and open the reports for further analysis with IBM® Cognos® Business Intelligence analytical tools. A wizard helps you set up the integration between Watson Explorer Content Analytics and IBM Cognos BI so that reports can be generated. The wizard also helps automate the export of documents from Watson Explorer Content Analytics to an IBM Cognos BI relational database.
• On a Linux 64-bit system, you can configure an IBM InfoSphere® BigInsights server to support large-scale analysis and indexing of content, such as for collections that contain terabytes of data. You can also run custom global analysis tasks as Jaql scripts on the InfoSphere BigInsights server.
• To add content to the index without crawling repositories, you can import files in comma-separated value (CSV) format and map the CSV fields to index fields. Users can explore the CSV content the same way that they explore content that was added by a crawler.
• You can export crawled documents from the document cache, analyzed documents, or documents that match your search conditions and then import the documents into other applications, such as data warehouse, business intelligence, classification, and eDiscovery applications. When you export documents, you choose to export the documents as XML files, as CSV files, or into a relational database. You can also create a custom plug-in to control how and where the documents are exported.
• You can expand the search capabilities of IBM Notes® client deployments by deploying a plug-in for searching enterprise search collections. The plug-in enables users to query collections from the IBM Notes client search bar.
• You can expand the search capabilities of IBM WebSphere® Portal by deploying a Search portlet for enterprise search collections in WebSphere Portal and by configuring WebSphere Portal to use the Search portlet as the default search engine.
• By using an annotator that is provided with Watson Explorer Content Analytics, you can import fields and category scores from IBM Content Classification and use that statistical data to analyze content when it is added to the Watson Explorer Content Analytics index.

  You can export results from an enterprise search application or the content analytics miner as XML files. If you then import the XML files into Classification Workbench, you can use the documents and analysis results to train Content Classification knowledge bases.
