Using Converters for Content Analytics Annotations

The IBM Content Analytics Annotation converter lets you annotate data that is being ingested into Watson Explorer Engine with the Watson Explorer Annotation Administration Console.

Annotating ingested data is the process of analyzing unstructured data to add additional <content> metadata elements to the Watson Explorer Engine conversion pipeline.

Important:
The Watson Explorer Annotation Administration Console module has been provided as part of the Watson Explorer foundational components. This module must be installed, enabled, and configured prior to using the IBM Content Analytics Annotation converter.

Annotating content using the Annotation Administration Console has the following major configuration steps:

The Annotation Administration Console provides several annotators that you can use as provided or customize for your enterprise data. For example, you can extend sentiment analysis by adding positive and negative expressions and extend named entity recognition by adding terms that represent persons, locations, and organizations. You can also create a custom annotator by using UIMA technology or IBM Watson Explorer Content Analytics Studio.
