z/OS Connect high availability

The z/OS® Connect file contains the list of service definitions, interceptors, and data transformation configuration that you can use for high availability and failover. You can include the z/OS Connect file in your server.xml file, and share the configuration across multiple servers that run on the same LPAR or span multiple z/OS logical partitions (LPARs).

The z/OS Connect action=start, stop, and status operations are not supported for WOLA-based services when you share the server.xml file between servers.

Additionally, the IBM HTTP Server Apache web server with the WebSphere Application Server plug-in can be placed in front of these servers to spread requests across them. You might also include Sysplex Distributor, or Distributed Virtual IP (DVIPA) in your topologies and z/OS Connect.
