Running out of space during installation

If you run out of disk space when the IBM® Content Analytics with Enterprise Search installation program runs, you can change the temporary directory for the installation program.

Symptoms

The installation program fails because there is not enough disk space for temporary files to be unpacked.

Resolving the problem

If the default temporary directory does not have enough space, use a different directory that has more space as the temporary directory. Set the temporary directory before you start the installation program. For example:

AIX® or Linux: export IATEMPDIR=/home/tmp
Windows: set TMP=d:\temp
To use this approach, you must run the installation program in console mode. To set or modify the temporary directory when you use the graphical user interface to install the product, you must open the Windows Control Panel and change the environment variable in the System settings.
