Windows JDK Requirements
There are minimum JDK requirements for installing Sterling B2B Integrator on the Windows platform.
The two OS (operating system) columns indicate if the Windows vendor has a 32-bit or a 64-bit operating system.
A JDK has more than one type of version number. For example, JDK 6.0 and JDK 1.6.0 are both names for the same JDK. Version 6.0 is used in marketing, documentation and other written communication. When you download the JDK, it will be identified on the web page as Java SE Development Kit 6uxx. Version 1.6.0 is used in file names. The downloaded JDK file will use the name that appears in the JDK requirements table.
Use the following guidelines when downloading the Windows JDK:
- (Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2.0 - 5.2.4.1) Download all Oracle JDK versions from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html.
- (Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2.3) If you plan to integrate with WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) and require an IBM JDK, open a Problem Management Report (PMR) with IBM Customer Support to request the necessary IBM JDK.
