PCI Quad Modem IOA (FC 6808, 6809, 0616, 0617, 2805, 2806; CCIN 2805)

Learn about the specifications for the PCI Quad Modem IO adapter.

The PCI Quad Modem IOA is a four-line WAN modem adapter, with four RJ-11 ports, supports V.92 56K Async SLIP/PPP and V.34 Fax applications at data rates up to 33.6K via internal modems. Connection to the V.92 ports is via telephone cable. Remote power-on via ring-indicator and SDLC are not supported.

Feature code (FC) 2805 is non-CIM (Complex Impedance Matching).

FC 0616 is a direct attach 2805 for use with Linux.

FC 6808 is an IOPless 2805. 6808 does not support SNA communications except through the IBM® i operating system V5R4 Enterprise Extender function.

FC 2806 has CIM (complex impedance matching).

FC 0617 is a direct attach 2806 for use with Linux.

FC 6809 is an IOPless 2806. FC 6809 does not support SNA communications except through the IBM i operating system V5R4 Enterprise Extender function.
