HP Tru64 UNIX host attachment

If you have a Hewlett-Packard (HP) AlphaServer that is running a Tru64 UNIX operating system, refer to the requirements and procedures for attaching DS8000® storage to your host using Fibre Channel.

Notes:

You do not need the IBM Subsystem Device Driver (SDD) because Tru64 UNIX manages multipathing.
IBM supports cascaded switches in configurations up to a maximum of eight switches with a maximum of three interswitch hops for any path. Use two hops for normal operations with the third hop reserved for backup paths.
The DS CLI is supported on Tru64 UNIX.
