Error description

  • A CHANGE TO THE USER INTERFACE OF THE IA PLUG-IN IS NEEDED TO SU
PPORT THE INITIAL CONTEXT OPTION TO GET THE APPLICATION CONTEXT.

Problem summary


    

  • The CICS Interdependency Analyzer Operations view does not show
the "Application Context" option, when editing collector options
for the "Regions" category.
This option was introduced by IA Host APAR PI61475.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The CICS IA plug-in has been updated so that the Application
Context option is available.
This APAR contains a fix to make IA plug-in compatible with IA
Host APAR PI61475.
If APAR PI61475 is not applied, using the Application Context
option in the plug-in results in the following message in the
statu bar when the user saves the editor context:
'Internal server error occurred. ABEND during the request
processing.'
and the collector is disconnected.
The Error Log view shows the message:
'Unable to get the response from the webservice'
and the error stack trace includes a SOAP fault:
'com.sun.xml.internal.ws.fault.ServerSOAPFaultException: Client
received SOAP Fault from server: Conversion from SOAP failed
Please see the server log to find more detail regarding exact
cause of the failure.'
This fix will be made available in Version 5.3.0.2 of the CICS
Interdependency Analyzer plug-in for CICS Explorer.
