Error description
THIS APAR INCLUDES FIXES TO VARIOUS DEFECTS IDENTIFIED IN THE IBM EXPLORER FOR Z/OS.
Local fix
Problem summary
This APAR fixes various problems identified in z/OS Explorer v2.1: -- CICS Explorer 5.2.0.2 should require z/OS Explorer 2.1.0.8 to be present but does not. To resolve this, CICS Explorer 5.2.0.3 cannot be installed without z/OS Explorer 2.1.0.9. -- When trying to delete a symlink to a directory, z/OS Explorer recursed into the symlinked directory rather than deleting the symlink itself.
Problem conclusion
The issues listed have been corrected. -- CICS Explorer 5.2.0.3 cannot be installed without z/OS Explorer 2.1.0.9. -- It is now possible to delete a symlink to a directory. This fix will be made available in Version 2.1.0.9 of the IBM Explorer for z/OS.
