  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • CICS IA and PA Explorer plug-ins use the DBFunc feature for
JDBC access to DB2.  The DBFunc feature uses JDBC Driver
4.17.29.

Some sites required JDBC Driver minimum versions to connect.

DBFunc feature should ship latest JDBC Driver Version.  For
example JDBC Driver 4.22.42.

Problem summary


    

  • The DB2 JDBC driver was at version 4.17.29 which does not
support DB2 V11 and access to CICS IA was denied.

All attempts to connect result in the message:
IZE0106E Connect failed with error "DB2 SQL Error:

SQLSTATE=57013, SQLERRMC=00E30507;00004000;00000001.PRDID.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The DB2 JDBC driver has been updated to version 4.21.29 to allow
support for DB2 V11.
.
This fix will be made available in Version 5.4.0.8 of the CICS
Explorer.
