Installing the Pack for SAP Applications on Windows

The third-party SAP JCo files (.jar and .dll files) must be obtained from SAP. These files must be installed to both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of install_dir when both versions are present. When both versions are present, download both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the SAP JCo files to the appropriate install_dir_32 and install_dir_64 instances.

Follow these steps to install the Pack for SAP Applications on Windows:

    1. Copy the following SAP JCo 3.0.14 or higher files to the install_dir directory:

      sapjco3.jar
      sapjco3.dll

If you prefer, you can complete this step after installation.
    2. Obtain the product image from Fix Central.
    3. Run the wsdtxsap_9000_windows.exe command, and follow the instructions in the installation program.

Installing the Pack for SAP Applications on Linux or UNIX

Third party SAP JCo files (.jar and .so files) must be obtained from SAP.

Follow these steps to install the Pack for SAP Applications on Linux or UNIX:

      sapjco3.jar

      libsapjco3.so

If you prefer, you can complete this step after installation.
    2. Obtain the product image from Fix Central.
    3. Unzip the product image and copy the file n.n\unix\wsdtxsap_9000_all.tar (where n.n is the version number) to the Linux or UNIX machine where it will be installed.
    4. Extract the wsdtxsap_9000_all.tar file.

The following file installs on Windows:
install_dir/dtx.rel9000.sapr3.xxbit.tar (where xx is a bit value of 31 or 64).
  3. FTP the file from step 2 to the install_dir directory on z/OS.
  4. Using Unix System Services (USS), extract the dtx.rel9000.sapr3.xxbit.tar file. This extracts files to the install_dir/libs and install_dir/ bin directories.
