ABOUT THIS RELEASE

=====================================================================

This release of the Pack for Financial Payments includes the resources for the SWIFT, SEPA, and NACHA standards.

Note: Transformation Extender was formerly called WebSphere Transformation Extender. Documentation, some interfaces, and some web sites still refer to it as WebSphere Transformation Extender.

SEPA component:

    • SEPA Pack Framework implementation of the 2017 v1.0 SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT), SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) Core and B2B updates.
    • Updates have been made to the following examples: EPC Schema maps, and the SWIFT FIN Transformation maps to generate valid SEPA messages.

NACHA component:
    • Updates have been made to ACH validation example maps to support all ACH messages.

INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION

===================================================================

Installation prerequisites

Early Release participants must uninstall the Early Release version

If you participated in the Early Release Program, you must uninstall the Early Release version of the pack before installing this supported release version. Failure to uninstall the Early Release version of the pack results in duplicate menu entries under Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, and can cause unexpected behavior when trying to uninstall the subsequent versions of the pack components.

Remove the Early Release version of this pack using one of two ways:

Run the Early Release install program and check Select this option to remove the installation,
or
from the Windows Control Panel, select Programs > Programs and Features. Select the pack and click Uninstall.

Deploying the pack to other operating systems

See the individual component documentation for information on deploying to other operating system platforms.

Installation directories

The pack components are installed to the following directory, depending on the selected standard(s):

  • install_dir\packs\financial_payments_v.9.0.2\nacha
  • install_dir\packs\financial_payments_v.9.0.2\sepa
  • install_dir\packs\financial_payments_v.9.0.2\swift

Where install_dir is the installation location of the Transformation Extender base product.

Installing the pack on Windows systems

To install the Transformation Extender Pack for Financial Payments, perform the following procedures:

  1. Obtain the image from Passport Advantage Online.
  2. Run the .exe command for the application and accept the license agreement.
  3. At the prompt, select either a Complete or a Selected installation.

The Complete installation installs the NACHA, SEPA, and SWIFT components to all installed versions of Transformation Extender (versions 8.4, 8.4.1 and 9.0.0), with no ability to choose individual Transformation Extender versions, or individual pack components.

The Selected installation displays a screen for each of the available versions of Transformation Extender. Each of these screens lets you choose the pack components you want to install.
  4. If you are performing a Selected installation, choose the components for each of your core Transformation Extender versions. After each version selection, select Next.

The Start Copying Files screen displays all the available versions of Transformation Extender, and also shows which components are selected for installation.
  5. Click Next to initiate the installation.

When the installation completes, you are prompted to view the readme file.

Modifying and uninstalling the pack components

If additional pack components are needed after the install completes, or if removal of select components is desired, you can modify your installation. You can also remove all components, as described in the following steps:

  1. Begin the installation process again.
  2. When prompted, choose to modify your installation, remove one or more selected components, or remove all components:
  • To modify your current installation, select Modify. When selected, this choice displays the same dialog as the initial installation. Refer to the Installing the pack on Windows systems section.
  • To remove an installed component for a specific core version of Transformation Extender, select Modify and deselect (uncheck the box for) the component name(s) and version(s) that you want to remove.

The component is removed for the Transformation Extender core version that is selected.
  • To remove all components from all versions of Transformation Extender, select Remove all components.

Note: Use this option only if you want to remove all components for all versions of the pack. You are prompted with a warning that all pack components for all versions will be removed.

Updates to the NACHA component

The following documentation supersedes the online documentation for the NACHA component.

In the Additional validation recommendations section, change the table row as directed below:

FROM:

Rules regarding matching field values (for example, Immediate Origin, File Creation Date, File Creation Time and File ID Modifier) back to original entries or related ACH files in a particular application process flowType tree validation has access to current data only in the ACH file that is being validated. This must be included in the overall application. In other words, the type tree does not perform records matching within the content of the data, whereas the validation map performs this matching task and reports any duplicates.
