Clarification about RBAC permissions when running scheduled backup and restore operations of Microsoft Exchange server
When you use the IBM Spectrum Protect scheduler service to run scheduled backup and restore operations of the Microsoft Exchange server, the following access permissions are necessary:
- The IBM Spectrum Protect scheduler service must be run under a user account that is a member of the Exchange Organization Management group.
- The user account must have the sufficient role-based access control (RBAC) permissions to run the scheduled tasks.
The IBM Spectrum Protect task scheduler topic in the IBM Spectrum Protect for Mail: Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange book will be updated with this clarification.
