Abstract
This document describes the system maintenance and integrated components that are available for use with IBM® PureApplication™ System Version 2.1.2.1. Unless indicated otherwise, the information applies to both W2500, W1500 (MT8283), W2700, W1700 (MT8278), and W3700 (MT 8536) systems.

System maintenance
Version 2.1.2.1 includes updates for the system's platform components. Version 2.1.1.0 or 2.1.2.0 must be installed on the system before you can install Version 2.1.2.1. The upgrade to Version 2.1.2.1 must be performed by a member of the IBM SWAT team or an IBM Customer Technical Professional. Contact your IBM customer representative to schedule the upgrade. After that upgrade is complete, you can upgrade the virtual images and virtual patterns.
Virtual images and virtual patterns
The following table lists the virtual images and virtual patterns that are supported with Version 2.1.2.1.

Downloading fixes from Fix Central
Download system maintenance and updates to virtual images from Fix Central as described in the following steps:
1. From the Select product tab, select the following options and click Continue:
- Product Group: PureSystems
- Select from PureSystems: PureApplication System
- Installed Version: 2.1.2.1
- Platform: All
3. Download the fixes and updates you want to apply to your system by clicking the name of each file.
