Abstract

This document describes the known issues with IBM Netezza Analytics 3.2.1 for System z

Content

Known issues

  1. Activation of the package fails under rare circumstances
    Summary
Under rare circumstances, the activation of the optional IBM Netezza Analytics 3.2.1 for System z stored procedure package ('apply' step in IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator Studio) fails. The following attempts also fail with an error message saying that the package could not be activated.
    Solution or workaround
    Contact IBM support.
  2. INZA.DROP_MODEL fails with error NZAUT-0145E after certain events
    Summary
The IBM Netezza Analytics 3.2.1 for System z wrapper stored procedure INZA.DROP_MODEL can fail with the following error message if it is called after disabling the stored procedure package or after removing all tables from the accelerator:

"NZAUT-0145E: Permission is denied to drop model"

    Solution or workaround
To avoid this error, call INZA.DROP_MODEL to remove all analytics models before you remove all tables or disable the IBM Netezza Analytics 3.2.1 for System z package on the accelerator. If the error has already occurred, (re-)define and load at least one table on this accelerator. After this step, all analytics models are dropped automatically.
  3. INZA.DECTREE fails with error NZAUT-0200E if an optional input table is specified
    Summary
The IBM Netezza Analytics wrapper stored procedure INZA.DECTREE fails with the following error if the "weights" parameter specifies an additional (optional) input table:

"NZAUT-0200E: The object '' of type 'relation' does not exist."

    Solution or workaround
Leave out the "weights" parameter when you call INZA.DECTREE.
  4. INZA.PMML_MODEL fails with error AQT10200E when analytics model has been created from an EBCDIC table
    Summary
When a model has been created from an EBCDIC table, and the IBM Netezza Analytics wrapper stored procedure INZA.PMML_MODEL is called for this model, the stored procedure might fail with an error message that contains reason code AQT10200E and the following text:

"DSNT408I SQLCODE = -622, ERROR: FOR MIXED DATA IS INVALID BECAUSE THE MIXED DATA INSTALL OPTION IS NO".

    Solution or workaround
Use a UNICODE input table to create your analytics model or a table from a DB2 subsystem for which the Mixed Data installation option has been set to the value YES (MIXED DATA YES).
  5. Accelerator not operational during installation
    Summary
While you are installing the IBM Netezza Analytics package, an accelerator cannot process ordinary requests, such as queries or load jobs. Instead, you receive an error message that reports a broken database connection.

After the installation, the accelerator will be responsive again.

    Solution workaround
To avoid jobs that do not run to completion, ask your clients to refrain from submitting regular accelerator jobs during the installation of the IBM Netezza Analytics package.
