Abstract
You can create custom menus for the ribbon bar and context menus to use in IBM® Content Navigator for Microsoft Office for each desktop in your environment.

About this task
You can customize the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office ribbon bar in Microsoft Office applications in the following ways:
- You can change the display order of the commands in the ribbon bar.
- You can change the display order of the actions for a ribbon bar command.
- You can remove a group of commands from the ribbon bar.
- You can remove an action from a ribbon bar command.
You can customize the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office context menus in Microsoft Office applications in the following ways:
- You can change the display order of the actions in a context menu.
- You can remove an action from a context menu.
Procedure
To make appropriate changes:
- Open the administration tool in the web client and click Menus. Customize the contents of menus by selecting and copying the default menu that you want to change. Then, specify the name of your custom menu, and use the list boxes with the selected actions and available actions to change the order of the actions, or remove an action from the list.
- Select the desktop that you want to modify, and then select the Menus tab. Specify which menus you want users to see. In the sections for Microsoft Office Ribbon Bar Commands, and Microsoft Office Context Menus, for each corresponding menu that you want to change, select the name of your custom menu.
The following table provides a description of the ribbon bar menus that can be customized. Use this information to help you select the appropriate default menus to copy and change, and the desktop menus to assign to your custom menus.

Ribbon bar Add command menu | Displayed in the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office ribbon bar in Microsoft Office applications, when the user clicks the Add command in the Edit group of commands. By default, this command menu includes the following actions:

Ribbon bar command menu | Displayed as the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office ribbon bar in Microsoft Office applications. By default, this command menu includes the following command groups:
For Microsoft Outlook, the Edit command group is hidden, and the Add command group for this ribbon bar is displayed. The Teamspaces, Workflow, and Custom Commands buttons are displayed in the ribbon bar only when those features are configured. |
Ribbon bar Custom command menu | Displayed in the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office ribbon bar in Microsoft Office applications, if custom commands are available. By default, this command menu includes the custom commands that are specified in the general desktop options for Office configuration. You can specify up to 4 custom commands for this group. |
Ribbon bar Edit command menu | Displayed in the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office ribbon bar in Microsoft Office applications, for the Edit group of commands. By default, this command menu includes the following command menus and actions:

The following table provides a description of the context menus that can be customized. Use this information to help you select the appropriate default menus to copy and change, and the desktop menus to assign to your custom menus.
