This release is a full version of the product.

What's new in this release

This version of the pack includes updates to the following:

  • The EPC updated the SEPA Rulebooks and Implementation guides and published the V8.1 updates for Credit Transfer and Direct Debit Core, and version 6.1 of the Direct Debit B2B guides for use in production November 22, 2015. All of the changes will be integrated into the existing framework validation. Refer to the implementation guides for the changes for this release.
  • EBA updates dated 2014/11/17 with EBA updates dated 2015/05/18.
  • Addition of a new example to show EPC published schemas and validation maps using WebSphere Transformation Extender Native XML schema mapping techniques.
  • Performance improvements have been made to the maps.
  • Documentation updates

2. INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION INFORMATION
=======================================================================

Installation prerequisites

Before you install this version of the pack, one of the versions of WebSphere Transformation Extender listed in the following table must first be installed.

If you are installing the pack from the ESD site, install the pack using the executable (*.exe) file associated with your WebSphere Transformation base product as indicated in the table below:

Installing the pack on Windows systems

To install the pack, perform the following procedures:
  1. Obtain the product media, or image, from the Support Downloads page.
  2. Run the setup.exe command. With Electronic Software Delivery (ESD), run the part_number.exe command (see the table above).
  3. Follow the instructions in the installation program.

Uninstalling the pack
  1. Select the pack that you want to remove.
  2. Click Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click Change/Remove and follow the prompts.

NOTE : The Repair or Remove options are no longer available in the installation program. You must uninstall the packs using the procedure detailed above.

Type trees have warnings when analyzed

The following type trees have distinguishable warnings when analyzed:
  • mapstep.mtt
  • sepa_validation.mtt

4. NEW AND CHANGED BEHAVIOR
=======================================================================

Deprecated maps and type trees

An announcement is published along with this release of the Pack for SEPA stating that the legacy Technical Validation Set (TVS) maps and schemas and type trees included in the validation framework will be removed in the next release. These schemas were last updated by the EPC in 2008. They were last updated to rulebook version v3.1.

For this release, the existing maps are located in a separate map source folder named ...deprecated/mapsandschemas. The TVS schemas will also be moved to the deprecated folder.

Similarly, for this release, the existing existing type trees are located in a separate map source folder named ...deprecated/type_trees
