- IBM Content Collector - Embedded attachments are not stored when archiving HTML messages from a Microsoft Exchange 2013 server
If you use IBM Content Collector to archive email from Microsoft Exchange 2013 servers, we recommend that you install the Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1 to avoid potential data loss. If you have not installed Service Pack 1 and are archiving HTML messages, embedded attachments are not archived as part of the message as expected and the HTML format is lost. - Migrating the text index of email that was archived into IBM FileNet P8 with IBM Content Collector
This type of migration is not part of the core product functionality. You need to contact the IBM software services team for assistance. - Software withdrawal and support discontinuance: IBM Content Collector V2.1, IBM eDiscovery Manager V2.1, and IBM eDiscovery Analyzer V2.1 - Replacements available

Have you been using the IBM Legacy Content Search Engine to index emails archived by IBM Content Collector into IBM FileNet P8? If so, please review the following important information: If you are planning an upgrade to IBM FileNet P8 5.2 from an earlier version, you will need to migrate email data archived into IBM FileNet P8 object stores with IBM Content Collector from IBM Legacy Content Search Engine to IBM Content Search Services prior to the upgrade to IBM FileNet P8 5.2. While FileNet P8 supports the migration of IBM Legacy Content Search Engine indexes to IBM Content Search Services, you cannot use this migration process for object stores that contain email archived with Content Collector into the document classes ICCMail2/ICCMailSearch2 or ICCMail/ICCMailSearch. A special migrat - IBM Enterprise Content Management Support is on Facebook
Enterprise content management (ECM) solutions deliver content in context to fully harness its potential. These industry-specific solutions can capture, activate, share, analyze and govern unstructured data to lower costs and risk while improving efficiency. As the volume of content continues to rise, organizations struggle to use it effectively. Seventy-three percent of CEOs are making significant investments in their organizations’ ability to draw meaningful customer insights from available data.1 IBM Enterprise content management provides a way to discover the content, recognize its value, then act on it for better business insight and outcomes. - ICC 4.0.1 - IBM Content Collector V4.0.1 simplifies content collection and delivers a flexible archiving approach for clients
This release supports value-based archiving through a legal role capability. It can be combined with Global Retention Policy and Schedule Management functions to meet the complexity of today's multi-dimensional businesses, from collection through defensible disposal. - IBM eDiscovery Manager should not be used to perform eDiscovery on content that is federated using IBM FileNet P8 Content Federated Services
Holds applied to federated items in the primary repository are not propagated to the source repository, so preservation is not enforced. In addition, other issues might be encountered with viewing and export. If eDiscovery is required in a federated environment, IBM eDiscovery Manager should be configured to work directly on each IBM FileNet P8 source repository rather than the primary repository. In this way, preservation is enforced and IBM eDiscovery Manager functions correctly on source repository items.
