Description

IBM Atlas Policy Suite is part of IBM Information Lifecycle Governance solutions, which enable you to efficiently retain and archive information of value and effectively meet eDiscovery obligations across both structured and unstructured data. Together with other IBM Information Lifecycle Governance products, it enables the systematic and defensible disposal of unnecessary data, which curbs storage growth, reduces IT and legal costs, and lowers legal risk for organizations.

Compatibility issues with earlier versions

You can upgrade directly to version 6.0.2 of IBM Atlas Policy Suite from any release of IBM Atlas Suite Version 4.0 or later. After you upgrade, you cannot uninstall version 6.0.2 to return to an earlier version of the product. You cannot perform a database rollback either; the upgrade to version 6.0.2 includes database changes that cannot be undone.

Important: If you upgrade from IBM Atlas Suite, Version 4.5.2, you must also switch from Microsoft SQL Server to an Oracle Database.
