Detailed System Requirements for Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications, V8.6

This document provides details of the system requirements for all applications and all plug-ins on all supported platforms.

The topics included are:

For a complete list of supported operating systems in a report format, perform the following actions:

1. Go to the webpage: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/prodguid/v1r0/clarity/index.html
2. Click the "Operating systems for a specific product" report.
3. In the window "Operating systems for a specific product", fill in the field "Enter a full or partial product name" with the value IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications and click Search.
4. In the Select version drop-down list, select the version 8.6 and click Submit to run the report .

Permanent disk space requirements when installing the product

Table 1 summarizes the minimum disk space requirements you must reserve on the file system where you installed Tivoli Workload Scheduler, when installing the Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications access methods.

1. These columns indicates the minimum space that you must allocate depending on the access method you install.


2. These columns indicates the minimum space that you must add to 32-bit value when installing SAP R/3 on 64-bit systems.

Table 2 summarizes the minimum disk space requirements you must reserve on the file system where you installed Tivoli Workload Scheduler, when installing the Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications Plug-ins.

When you install an access method or a plug-in, consider the temporary space needed to store the downloaded DVD images indicated in Table 3 and the temporary requirements for the product and language pack indicated in the Table 4.

Temporary requirements to install the product

Table 4 summarizes the temporary space required to install Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications (methods and plug-ins)

This section details the versions of the applications that Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications version 8.6, supports:

Oracle

You must have Oracle Applications version 10.7 or Oracle E-Business Suite versions 11.0, 11.i, or 12.1.3 already installed, configured, and working.

PeopleSoft

You must have PeopleTools version 8.4.4 or later already installed, configured, and working.

In addition, you must have access to the psjoa.jar file located in the ps_home\class directory of the indicated version.

SAP R/3

You must have one of the following installed, configured, and working: SAP R/3 version 6.10, 6.20, 6.30, 6.40, 7.00, 7.01, 7.02, 7.10, 7.11, 7.20, 7.30, or 7.31.

• Note 399449 resolve print parameter issues. Notes 357924 and 517672 are release-independent.
• Note 758829 resolves job step management problems.
• Notes 602683, 604496, and 612564 are required if you want to use the BC-XBP 2.0 interface.
• Notes 684106 applies only to Windows operating systems.
• Server groups are supported by IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications on the following versions of SAP Basis:
  • 6.10 with support package 40

SAP Business Warehouse

• InfoPackages are supported by Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications on SAP Business Warehouse systems 3.0B, or later.
• Process chains are supported on SAP Business Warehouse systems version 3.0B, or later.
• The Support Package 9 (SAPKW31009) for SAP Business Warehouse version 3.1 is required so that the extended agent is able to launch Process Chains.
