System requirements for the IBM Optim Query Tuner client

  • Hardware
Before you install the client, verify that your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements:
  • 2 GB available hard disk space
  • 1 GB memory (2 GB recommended)
  • 2 GHz Pentium IV processor equivalent or better
  • Operating systems
The following operating systems are supported for this product.

System requirements for IBM Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows

To use Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows, you must have one of the following DB2 database servers:

  • IBM DB2 9.1.8 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows or later.
Note: You must perform certain preliminary configuration tasks on a DB2 9.1.8 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows database server before you use it for query tuning. For detailed instructions in the information center, see:

  • IBM DB2 9.5.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows or later
  • IBM DB2 9.7.0 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows or later
  • IBM DB2 9.8.0 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows or later

System requirements for IBM Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for z/OS and Optim Query Workload Tuner for DB2 for z/OS

To use Optim Query Tuner for DB2 for z/OS or Optim Query Workload Tuner for DB2 for z/OS, you must have the following software installed on your z/OS system:

  • IBM DB2 UDB for z/OS Version 8, DB2 Version 9.1 for z/OS, or DB2 Version 10 for z/OS
  • IBM SDK for Java 2 Technology Edition, Version 1.4, or later
