Abstract

This document describes how to download the installation images for IBM Spectrum Protect™ HSM for Windows Version 8.1.2 using the Passport Advantage® online website.

Tip: The product now known as IBM Spectrum Protect™ was named IBM® Tivoli® Storage Manager in releases earlier than Version 7.1.3. To learn more about the rebranding transition, see technote 1963634.

This document describes how to download the installation images for IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows V8.1.2 using the Passport Advantage Online Web site.

Space requirements:

  • 23.5 MB (self-extracting .exe file) of disk space to download the part, plus
  • 73 MB of disk space to unpack the part
  • 46.2 MB of disk space for the installed product, plus 12.5 MB for Microsoft redistributables

Downloading and assembling the product:

  1. Download the part. The part number is listed in the "Downloadable part" section of this document.
  2. Unpack the downloaded part.
  3. To install the product, follow the instructions in the IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows product documentation. For more information, see Installation of the HSM for Windows client.
  4. For the latest information about the product, see IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows Version 8.1 fix pack readme files.
