Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express clients are required to sign in to download the software package.

If you are entitled for Rational Test RealTime and need to download your software from Passport Advantage, perform the following steps:

  1. Logon to Passport Advantage.
  2. Select Software Downloads and Media Access.
  3. Select the Download Finder.
  4. Select Find by description or part number.
  5. Select the Product Description and All radio buttons and enter Rational Test RealTime in the description field.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Expand the eAssemblies and you will see your entitled software.

Fix Central provides fixes and updates for your system's software, hardware, and operating system.

Definitions

Regression: An error in the Maintenance Delivery Vehicle (MDV) that produces incorrect or unexpected behavior causing a supported feature to stop functioning as designed.
This includes:

  • Coding errors that cause a regression
  • Documentation or packaging problems that cause a regression
  • Errors reported in a new function delivered in a MDV that cause a regression

Incomplete: An error in the MDV has not regressed, but does not work as designed.
This includes:

  • Fixed APARs which did not solve the original problem but did not break anything new
  • APARs reporting documentation errors, such as readme errors, that cause problems applying an MDV but do not lead to a regression

Notes:
  • Regression and incomplete APARs are considered fix-in-error or MDV-in-error
  • Definitions above apply only to valid APARs that result in product fixes (APARs returned as working-as-designed are not assessed for being fix-in-error)

TDP Runtime
atc_on_the_fly does not work when RTRT_VARIABLE_INIT_SUPPORTED=0 is in the TDP.
Workaround: Use ATL_OBSTOOLS_DUMP_FREQ instead. See Settings/Runtime Analysis/General/Snapshot: Frequency dump.


The TDP cvisual10 and cvisual10_64 do not detect FIU properly due to removed system method.
Workaround: Set Library Settings/Heap Management Configuration/FIU detection to RTRT_NONE.
Rational Test RealTime Sudio (Binary)
Ada code is not generated properly when the PTU uses a non constraint type declared in the PTU itself.
Workaround: Place the type/code into an external file.
Installation
When IBM Rational License Key Administrator (LKAD) and IBM Rational Test RealTime are installed at the same time and that user's operating system locale is different from the base operating system language, installation fails.
Workaround: During installation, click on 'Translations supported by Only Some packages' on the Install Packages/Features pane, and select the same language you setup in your Microsoft Windows locale environment. Then click Next or Install IBM Rational License Key Administrator (LKAD) and IBM Rational Test RealTime separately.
Rational Test RealTime Studio (Component Testing for Ada)PI09350Instrumentor Ada fails with ERROR: Entity <entity_name> not found; when a derived type is used through a generic type.
Workaround: Use a qualified type and a complete type description.
Rational Test RealTime Studio (Component Testing for C++)
The studio C++ wizard does not generate stub and otd properly when the method to stub is declared into a class which is part of a template.
Workaround: Change the .stb and .otd manually once generated by the wizard.


In a component testing C++ node with multi-thread support enabled, when instrumenting a derived class destructor, the release mutex is called one more time. This may lead to an exception when the mutex is used.
Workaround: Disable multi-threads support.
