3. Installation Instructions


To Install:
- Extract all the files from the Download Package.
- Navigate to the Disk1 folder.
- Double click on setup.exe.
- Follow the instructions in the installation wizards (When prompted to install the IDA tools, please check the option if you are planning to use the m1-IDA bridge)


Or for Accessibility support, to Install using the installer with screen reader software:
- Extract all the files from the Download Package.
- Install the Java Access Bridge and enable it for using screen reader software.
- Ensure Java is executable from all paths.
- Navigate to the "Disk1\InstData\NoVM" folder.
- Double click on Install.exe.
- Follow the instructions in the installation wizards (When prompted to install the IDA tools, please check the option if you are planning to use the m1-IDA bridge)

4. Software Pre-requisites for deploying BDW using the "BDW for InfoSphere" Tooling Deployment option

For your initial business definition, scoping and mappings between all model components,you can use the following supported software version:

IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog 11.3 IGC is a component of IBM InfoSphere Information Server
For analysis and design data modeling, you can use one of the following supported software and version:

5. Software Pre-requisites for deploying BDW using the "BDW for m1" Tooling Deployment option

For mappings between the data model to the business definitions in IGC, you will need to extend your IDA installation with the IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog for Eclipse:

For your initial business definition, scoping and mappings between all model components, the IBM m1 tool installed as part of BDW will be used.

For analysis and design data modeling, you can use one of the following supported software and version:

6. Documentation


  • Product Documentation is available through two IBM Information Centers installed as part of the product. For each supported tooling deployment option, you can start the Information Center of interest from your Windows Start menu or equivalent shortcut:
