Abstract

This fix pack provides fixes as well as new and enhanced content and tooling features for IBM Insurance Process and Service Models (IPS) version 8.5.0.2

Download Description

This fix pack contains updates to the following IPS components delivered in release 8.5.0.2:

IPS Model Content (IPS for Standard Tooling and IPS for MMM)

    Enhanced IPS model content includes:
    • BOM and IDM now aligned with the Banking Data Model (BDM) contained in the Insurance Information Warehouse (IIW) version 8.6 release.

IPS Model Structure Changes (IPS for Standard Tooling)
    Based on customer feedback and internal discussions, the structure of the APM, OPM and SDM models have been changed in this release.

Industry Models Tooling (IPS for MMM)
    Release 3.5.1.0 of the Industry Models SOA tooling contains various fixes for the Industry Model bridging components. This release also introduces new Industry Models Validation in RSA, enabling validation of models to ensure that they comply with the Process and Service Models Metamodel Guide.

Industry Models Tooling (IPS for Standard Tooling)
    Release 3.5.1.0 of the Industry Models SOA tools with the following new features:
    • Industry Models Validation
    • APM to OPM Transform
    • Interface Design Model Class Generation
    • Service Design Model Service Generation
    • Transfer Object Generation

IPS Information Centers (IPS for Standard Tooling and IPS for MMM)
    This fix pack also provide new versions of the IPS Information Centers with updated documentation content:
    • IPS Standard Tooling Information Center
    • IPS MMM Information Center

IBM Insurance Process and Service Models 8.5
IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software 9.0, or
IBM Rational Software Architect 9.0, with Extension for SOA and WebSphere

IBM InfoSphere Information Server Business Information Exchange 9.1
Alternatively, IBG is also available as part of
IBM InfoSphere Information Server 9.1.2

Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT: Installation of the IBM Industry Models offerings needs to be performed by a user with administrative privileges.

  • To Install:

    • - Extract all the files from the Download Package.
    - Navigate to the Disk1 folder.
    - Double click on setup.exe.
    - Follow the instructions in the installation wizards.
  • Or for Accessibility support, to Install using the installer with screen reader software:

    • - Extract all the files from the Download Package.
    - Install the Java Access Bridge and enable it for using screen reader software.
    - Ensure Java is executable from all paths.
    - Navigate to the "Disk1\InstData\NoVM" folder.
    - Double click on Install.exe.
    - Follow the instructions in the installation wizards.
