This fix pack is a cumulative fix release and addresses APARs and internally found issues since the release of OMNIbus 7.3.1 Fix Pack 9.
The following defect solutions are included in this release:
IV57465
ObjectServer gateways would not send bulk SQL (if that gateway
property was enabled) for updates converted to inserts (due to
SET UPDTOINS CHECK). This issue is resolved.
IV59581
The splash screen for the nco command shows version 7.3.0 when
the locale is Japanese, Korean, or Chinese. This problem is resolved.
IV59959
The GSKit component used by Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus is upgraded to
version 8.0.50.20. This is done to address a potential security
problem that is fixed in this version of GSKit.
IV56609
The primary and backup ObjectServers might not resynchronize
properly if the primary ObjectServer fails again before a
resynchronization is complete. This problem is resolved.
IV55784
If a pre-insert trigger also does an insert into the same table,
the two events can end up with the same Serial value if the
Serial number wraps during the insert. This problem is resolved.
IV56455
The failover thread of a probe running in secondary mode in a
peer-to-peer failover setup might hang. This could result in the
probe failing to send events on if it loses contact with the
primary probe of the peer-to-peer pair. It could also result in
unbounded memory growth of the secondary probe as it buffers all
events without flushing the buffers. This issue is fixed.
IV64030
If an integer value in a properties file starts with a zero, the
value was treated as octal-based rather than base 10. This
problem is resolved.
IV63169
The JRE for Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus V7.3.1 and V7.4.0 was updated
to IBM JRE 6.0 SR16 FP1 to address possible security issues.
IV63973
The security related files java.security, US_export_policy.jar,
and local_policy.jar have been marked as configuration files so
that future updates to the JRE for Netcool/OMNIbus 7.3.1 will
retain any changes made to these files. With the next JRE update
following Netcool/OMNIbus 7.3.1.10, this will resolve the issue of
FIPS 140-2 modifications being overwritten when the JRE is updated.
This fix pack installs on any GA Release of Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus 7.3.1.

IMPORTANT: Before installing this fix, ensure that all Tivoli Network
Management applications on your computer have been shutdown.
Extract the contents of 7.3.1.10-TIV-NCOMNIbus-<arch>-FP0010.tar
in to a temporary directory, replacing the <arch> placeholder with the
string identifying your platform.
From within the directory enter the following command to install this fix
interactively.
./install.bin

Extract the contents of 7.3.1.10-TIV-NCOMNIbus-win32-FP0010.zip
in to a temporary directory.
