Abstract

This Fix Pack relates to the Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) version 8.5.0 for users working with the "BDW for InfoSphere" tooling deployment option.

The objective of this Fix Pack is to increase the level of mappings between Business Terms and AWM and DWM models as reported in APAR MD00087.

The mappings between business terms in InfoSphere Business Glossary (BG) and their related model artefacts can be visualised in the BG Eclipse Plugin for InfoSphere Data Architect (IDA) as Assigned Assets, as shown here for the business term 'Arrangement age group':

In the 8.5.0.0 release of the model, where a business term was supported within the domain list of an entity, the term was sometimes unmapped. For example, in BDW v8.5, the term 'Settlement account arrangement' was supported within the domain list of the entity Account Type:


However there was no explicit mapping from the term to this entity.

This Fix Pack improves the mappings for such terms. For example for 'Settlement account arrangement':

Installation Instructions


1. Extracting the download package

    Extract the content of 8.5.0-IM-BDW-FP02.zip into a new folder (e.g. C:\IBM\8.5.0-IM-BDW-FP02).

2. Accessing the Model Content
    The BDW for InfoSphere model content is available from the \BDW_InfoSphere\ subfolder.
    Detailed instructions on how to import the content into IDA and InfoSphere Business Glossary is available from the BDW InfoSphere Information Center installed as part of BDW 8.5.
